We are local listed company and currently are looking for a full-time under-graduated bookkeeper to join our company, this position is ideal for candidate who is willing to learn and grow with the company.
The ideal candidate must be committed to perform the following accounting functions:
- Assist in preparation and issuing of documents related to accounts, account statements and other financial statements using computerized accounting systems.
- Assist with maintaining accurate books of account including preparing cheques, posting invoiced, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations.
- Maintain and balance general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries, preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries.
- Assist in conducting periodic reconciliation of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate and complete government remittances (GST, PST, WCB, etc).
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns, along with payroll, operating and business taxes.
Skills & Qualifications
- An undergraduate Degree’s in accounting, business, economics, commerce or related field is preferred.
- Entry-level experience in or knowledge of A/P, A/R and bookkeeping is an asset.
- Strong ability to multitask, detail-oriented capability, excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent English level in both oral and writing is required.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting and financial records.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs and QuickBooks knowledge is a must.
