Job title: Tax Preparer

Locations: Vancouver and Richmond BC

Liberty Tax Service is the country’s fastest growing retail tax preparation firm, with over 2,000 office locations in Canada and the United States. We are looking for an Income Tax Preparer for Liberty Tax Service office in Vancouver.

Job Types: Full-Time, Temporary

Salary: $18.00-$22.00/Hourly, based on experience

Language: English, Mandarin (preferred), Cantonese (preferred)

Work-term:

• February to April 2022, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
• Training starts in January

Positions Available: 1-2

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of T1 personal tax returns
• Scanning and general office duties related to income tax return preparation
• General bookkeeping and other miscellaneous accounting duties as required

Qualifications:

• Experience with tax preparation software and preparing tax returns is required
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Tax Preparer
• Must be proficient with and have a minimum of 2-year experience using TaxCycle or Profile
• Ability to work independently and to solve problems on your own
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines, preferably ahead of schedule

We provide pre-season and on the job training and the seasonal tax preparer will have access to taking the Liberty Tax Learning Management System (LMS), update training provides the annual tax update information necessary for the upcoming tax season. This position is seasonal, full-time with the opportunity for future hiring positions. We are looking for the right candidates for future growing opportunities in our organization.
