Responsibilities Task
Staffing: Train and supervise staff Hire, train, direct and motivate staff Managing the Marketing Staff
Contract: Manage contracts Manage Contractors and Suppliers
Product: Increase brand awareness and Market Share Develop Promotional materials Monitoring industry trends Generating new business leads Establish distribution networks for products and services, initiate market research studies and analyze their findings Plan, direct and evaluate the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the design, development and maintenance of Internet and Intranet sites to manage an organization's Internet presence Direct Marketing Team Coordinating special publicity events and promotions Direct Marketing Team Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies and other events for publicity, fundraising and information purposes Prepare and/or deliver educational, publicity and information programs, materials and sessions Represent the marketing team to cross-functional groups including product management, sales, or customer support
Public Relation: Write and edit press releases, newsletter and communications materials Assist in product development and direct and evaluate the marketing strategies of establishments Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations Direct and evaluate establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments and other organizations Act as spokesperson for an organization Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies Answer written and oral inquiries Assist in the preparation of brochures, reports, newsletters and other material Gather, research and prepare communications material Initiate and maintain contact with the media Prepare or oversee preparation of reports, briefs, bibliographies, speeches, presentations, Website content and press releases Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies
Budgeting: Plan and Control budget and expenditures Updating senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns Analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies Preparing and presenting quarterly and annual reports to senior management.
