Job Title: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant – 4-Month Contract (Potential for Full-Time) Location: Burnaby, near to Royal Oak Company: WGW Engineering Ltd.
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for a 4-month contract to support our team. This role has the potential to transition into a full-time position depending on performance and business needs. If you have experience with accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and Quickbook software, you may be the right fit for this role!
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoicing, manage payables, and handle payroll processing.
- Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process
- Process vendor payments and follow up on overdue receivables.
- Assisting in preparing the expense claims and sorting receipts
- Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules between customers, sales, and production teams.
- Maintain office and production supply inventory and ensure operations run smoothly.
- Manage office supplies ordering and oversee day-to-day office administration.
- Handle front desk duties, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
- Maintain accurate and updated customer records and files.
- Assist with organizing company meetings, events, and other functions as needed.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Oracle.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid understanding of payroll processing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
