Milestone is going to be dated soon (considering Verizon is launching Droid 2 and Droid X), but it's still a pretty good Android phone overall, if you like slide keyboard it's good. Although I see this is more for business person who emails a lot,  I'm not a slide keyboard fan anyway. Don't know much about XT800 so no comment on this. Check the 3G band, Milestone sold in Asia may not be compatible with 3G network in North America. Telus is selling Milestone here with 3 years contract. I don't get your last question. Fido has data plan, usually is about $25 per 500Mb. There are many Android phones coming out, why only stick to Motorola? I personally like the HTC Legend from Virgin Mobile.
