车被偷车贼撞废了

呵呵,楼上的you seem to be really experienced~ are you working for ICBC? another question: there are no 'no parking' sign on patterson where i tried to park, but the road is narrow with a gravel pad in front of houses. I was going to park there but at the time I wasn't sure if it is allowed.  (and there's ditch ) that's why I backed up to adjust my vehicle when I got hit.  Do you think this will be an issue for ICBC to fault me in any way?  I went back to make sure there's no inhibit parking sign, there's none, but it seems no other car park there the two times i was there.
Luckily I don't work in ICBC ^^ However, I am in the same industry. You can pm me if you have more questions, so I can give you my contact. Love to answer all your questions since I know how ICBC is trying to rip everyone off. LOL The reason why I told you that you should be able to recover from your loss was based on police's involvement. Funny eh? We normally hates policy, but once there is an accident, they might be able to give ICBC some fair conclusion as evidence. The police should able to tell ICBC that the guy was speeding really fast since they were tracing after the guy. However, at the same time, this makes your case more complicated, and that's why your case is taking so much longer. Normally it should be done within two weeks. She probablly will not use the parking permission as a reason to deny your claim. However, you should be very careful dealing with this claim. Did the police from the incident give you any contact information? If he did, that will be benefit for you. Good luck with the case ^^
thanks so much ylw_bug, nice to get assitance so timely and free hehehe.... ICBC already contacted me today regarding the coverage on my vehicle, which based on condition of my car, was a fair price. my question are: ICBC says my car is covered under noninsured motorist fund, does this mean I'm 100% NOT at fault?   the guys says he's only responsible for the vehicle part, the rest is still up to the adjuster, if i am in fact free of faults, what else is there to decide by the adjuster, besides to compensate me for the emotional/wages loss? I can not afford to miss work for specific reasons, it'll cause more downside than trying to get compensation from ICBC.  So i am not expecting any large amt.   under this condition, how should I maximize the compensation??? what do you think it's the typical amt, with me only taking approx 1 month off, and no injuries?
You are very welcome. So now it is pretty sure you are 100% not fault party since they used noninsured motorist fund which is some insurance coverage provided by your driver's license. I don't know how much they will compensate you for wage loss since you didn't take anytime off. I am sorry I can not help you much in that area since I am not an ajuster. However, even if you take time off, the wage loss that they will compensate you will based on how much you get paid per hour plus there is a limitation of how much maximum they will pay. I don't know exactly how much they will offer you, but the best thing you should do now is probably go see a doctor to see if there is anything wrong with your back or health condition after the accident since you only have up to 1 year after the accident to claim for those dagamges. About emotional loss, I dont think they will compensate you a lot on that. Worst comes the worst, if you are not happy with the settlement, don't agree on it. Go to see a ICBC lawyer! [s:201]
