Kitchen Cook (NOC 6242)

1118252 BC LTD (o / a Ginger Sushi Restaurant) is looking for a well-organized and experienced Kitchen Cook who is available to work evenings, weekends and perhaps some split shifts. Applicant must have at least 1-2 years of commercial kitchen experience, or certificate / diploma in cooking and complete secondary school.

 l Position: Kitchen Cook

l Salary & Job Type: $ 15.00 / hr, 40hrs / week, Permanent, Full time

Benefit: 2 week paid vacation

l Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: 1437 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC V5L 3X8

 Main Duties 

l Manage our kitchen operations

l Prepare cold foods (sushi, sashimi, etc) and hot foods (u-dong, teriyaki, tempura, etc), and other Japanese dishes

l Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food

l Schedule and supervise kitchen staff

l Check and Keep track of all food inventory, and place orders with suppliers

l Help plan new menus and prepare daily specials.

l Help in the daily cleaning up of kitchen and work area

l May hire and train kitchen staffs
