Description of Company:

Tong Ren Tang (also known as Beijing Tong Ren Tang or TRT) was founded in 1669 and have been designated to provide remedies to the imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty for nearly 300 years. As one of the largest TCM firms, the brand currently operates over 2500 clinics and stores worldwide, and several hospitals in Mainland China.

 

In January 2016, Beijing Tong Ren Tang Vancouver Healthcare Center Co., Ltd was established in North Vancouver. The aim of our store is to serve BC residences with exclusive High-End Personal TCM services.

 

We are a progressive company that stands for professional and passion for high-quality customer service. We currently have a growing team of 12 people, with most based in our North Vancouver retail store.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately;
  • Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls;
  • Receiving and sorting daily mails and emails;
  • Book appointment for customers;
  • Prepare invoice for customers;
  • Cashier;
  • Documentation and filing;
  • Administrative duties in support of other departments;
  • Other hands-on work.

 

Qualifications:

This is an ideal position for a recent graduate wanting to practice what they learned in school and expand their skills. We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Business / Communication / Science / Arts OR graduated from College with 6 months to 1-year related experience
  • Exceptionally strong working proficiency with MS Office (specifically MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel);
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of Photoshop /Pixelmator is an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of Chinese Traditional Medicine is an asset but not required
  • Basic Mandarin or Cantonese and English are required.

 

The successful applicant will also possess the following skills and personal characteristics:

  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to learn quickly;
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and hardworking self-starter with a strong desire to learn;
  • Team player who also can work independently; and,
  • Ability to focus in a lively environment.
