Position: Dancing Production Assistant

Type of Job: Full-time, permanent;

Salary: CAD27/hour, 32 hour/ week

Location: 8855 Laurel Street suite 112 Vancouver, BC V6P 3V9

Motion Artistry is a dance academy that has been operating in Vancouver for almost 10 years. Motion Artistry has trained hundreds of classically well-trained dancers in Vancouver and has won many provincial dance competitions every year. The academy also provides valuable opportunities for its students by participating in many local events and show performances.

Job Descriptions:

• Assistant the production director on preparation of dancing performances such as costumes, stage backdrops, photography, videography etc;
• Attend rehearsals and work in site during performance to support the performances;
• Outreach to events and theaters for scheduling dancing performances;
• Run daily errands for the production director to ensure the performances run smoothly, including but not limited to preparing schedule and travel arrangements;

Requirement:

• Post-secondary education background of two years and above, in the field of performing arts, movie and theater etc.
• Minimum one year working experience in related field.
• Attention to detail, good time management skills;
• Outgoing, optimistic, good communication skills;
