Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer to oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of innovative products that meet both customer needs and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptualization and Ideation:
- Lead brainstorming sessions for new product ideas.
- Perform market research and competitor analysis.
- Develop product concepts based on customer feedback and market trends.
Product Planning and Strategy:
- Create product development plans with clear timelines and milestones.
- Define product features, functionality, and specifications.
- Prioritize product features and roadmap with stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams on prototypes.
- Coordinate with marketing and sales for go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Optimize the product development process continuously.
Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Evaluate and select suppliers for materials and components.
- Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage performance.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for product development.
- Conduct testing to validate product performance.
- Address quality issues through corrective actions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders.
- Build relationships and align product strategies with stakeholders.
- Handle product-related inquiries and escalations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
- Expertise in supply chain processes and best practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a passion for customer-centric innovation.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Chinese is an asset
