The Dog Year comes after twelve full moons have gone away.
加上Year after year是为了达到排比的修辞效果，也好与下一句节奏合拍。day和 bay， away押韵 （韵尾皆是／ei /）。此处，moon应该是复数名词moons，按照英语主谓一致规则, 后面谓语中的助动词用have，而不是has。
写英语诗，不同于写散文和学术文章的是，诗歌要讲究韵律和节奏，追求艺术性和审美效应，所以，声韵和谐，节奏鲜明是区别诗歌和其他文体的根本特性。
