加拿大华人呼吁：给议员写信，等付大代价就晚了

在世卫组织宣布新冠病毒全球大流行之后，一些国家采取了更为严厉的防疫措施，而加拿大至今仍处于佛系抗疫阶段，世卫组织不点名批评了一些国家佛系抗疫手法。有华人网友发起呼吁，希望大家尽快给自己所在区域各级议员写信，表达自己对 COVID-19病毒在加拿大感染扩散升级的忧虑， 要求各级政府迅速行动和回应。

尊敬的省/市议员：

每天我们都听到加拿大报告了新的COVID-19病例，这表明这种致命的传染性病毒将有可能在我们社区中的广泛而迅速地传播。我们对自己的安全深表关切。

我们强烈敦促您为社区发声，向联邦政府提出采取更强的行动，以防止这种流行病进一步蔓延。我们建议如下：

1.管控边境，暂停加拿大与某些疫区之间的航班返回的居民必须（而不是建议）隔离14天。

2.在机场进行严格的温度和症状测试。

3.对确诊患者实行强制隔离措施，并采取监督和惩罚措施。

4.在流行病完全消失之前，应禁止在流行病严重的大城市（例如大多伦多和温哥华）搞100人以上聚会。

这些举措已经在其它一些国家实施，比如美国，俄罗斯，意大利，韩国，印度和新加坡。我们强烈敦促加拿大政府采取措施更好的保护好加拿大人。

不远的将来，我们不要遗憾加拿大做得太少做得太慢。

Dear（MP/Ontario MPPs / City Councillors ）

Everyday new positive cases of COVID-19 are confirmed and reported in Canada, which has indicated clearly that this deadly infectious COVID-19 will likely spread fast and widely in our communities. We have deep concerns on our safety.

We strongly urge you to voice our concerns from the community and request the federal government to take stronger actions to prevent this epidemic from further spreading.

We suggest the following measures to be considered:

1. Control our boarder. Temporarily shut down flights between Canada and certain countries, residents returning to Canada should be forced (rather than recommended) to quarantine for 14 days.

2. Strict temperature and symptom testing at airports.

3. Implement compulsory isolation measures for confirmed patients with supervision and punishment measures.

4. Gathering with 100+ people in some cities, such as Greater Toronto and Vancouver should be banned.

Most of these actions have already been implemented in a number of countries such as the United States, Russia, Italy, South Korea, India, and Singapore etc. We strongly urge Canadian government to follow the steps to better protect Canadians.

Let’s not regret in the near future that we’ve done too little too late.
